HOLLOW RUBBER ITEM AND A METHOD TO PRODUCE ITS WORKPIECES Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: designing of inflatable tubes for floating equipment and for production of floating tube workpieces. SUBSTANCE: lengthwise and lateral contours of workpiece sides are made at proper angle to direction of core and filling threads of workpiece material in a hollow rubber equipment, e.g. inflatable tube of floating equipment. Rectilinear seam joining made up parts of workpieces is located at an angle to longitudinal axis of symmetry of workpieces. The angle corresponds to an angle the lengthwise and cross contours of workpiece sides are made at. Each workpiece is made of two made up parts with curvilinear lengthwise, rectilinear cross contours of sides and rectilinear lengthwise edges to join parts. When roughing cloth the curvilinear lengthwise contours of made up parts are treated along curvilinear lines being interrupted along cloth length and common for a pair of made up parts. The lines are located in the middle of cloth width at a proper angle to its lengthwise axis. Rectangular cross contours of sides of workpiece parts and their rectangular lengthwise edges are formed when roughing cloth pieces with alternating lengths in the form of parallelogram. Their cross sides are located along lines made at preset angle to lengthwise axis of the cloth. Cloth cutting is made by longitudinal cuts along roughed out edges of cross sides of parallelograms into pairs of made up parts and two made up parts are joint together of cloth pieces adjoining by their lengths along their rectangular lengthwise edges by longitudinal seams to form workpiece of the product.
