FIELD: power engineering; thermal-to- mechanical energy converters. SUBSTANCE: engine has case and rotor built up of two identical coaxial disks with central bore mounted in case for rotation, heat-sensing elements in the form of radial plates linked together by means of tie rods, each joined by pair of balls with disk for its radial displacement. Each tie rod is spring-loaded on one end relative to disk at its central bore and its other end is fitted in one of recesses of one of rings linked via equal-ratio gear transmissions with output shaft; gear transmissions have cylindrical surfaces on their initial circumferences. Engine has heat generator transferring its hot gases to zone about plates which have projections in the form of blades. EFFECT: improved design. 7 dwg
