FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves isolation of isobutenylcarbonyl from recurrent fraction of 4,4-dimethyldioxane obtained in isoprene synthesis. Reagent: azeotrope trimethylborate methanol is used for treatment of the parent fraction at 85-95 C at the mass ratio isobutenylcarbonyl: azeotrope = (0.624-1.245):1 following by decomposition of prepared isobutenylcarbinol boron ether by methanolysis in reaction-distillary column. The end product is isolated as vat, and azeotrope methanol-trimethylborate is taken of from the top column which is recovered to the process. Method is used in petrochemical synthesis. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis. 5 tbl
