FIELD: heat insulation of metal structures. SUBSTANCE: fireproof sweeling compound contains, %: water-soluble urea formaldehyde resin 19-21 or water-soluble urea melamineformaldehyde resin 40-30, n-tertiary-butylphenolformaldehyde resin 5-7; ammonium polyphosphate 25-28, dicyandiamide 5-7; kaolin 5.5-6.5; glass fibre 1.8-2.5; pentrol 12-17 or pentaerythritol 12-15; the balance, water. Charged into ball mill is mixture of resins, dicyandiamide, pentrol or pentaerythritol and ground to required size. Added to mixture is kaolin, glass fibers and stirred to obtain homogeneous mass. Ammonium polyphosphate is added to compound before its application. Property characteristics: water absorption 1.8-2.2%, coating service life is 10 years. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 tbl
