FIELD: aircraft engineering. SUBSTANCE: panel 4 moves with drives 7,8 owing to changing the length of tie 5 and additional tie 6 and forms passage 2 of combustion chamber 1 of two configurations together with panel 3. The converging passage is used for burning fuel at subsonic regime of operation. The diverging passage is used for burning fuel at supersonic regime of operation. When engine is not in operation the movable panel 4 is fully inserted into the fixed panel 3. Drives 7,8 and ties 5,6 are arranged outside of the combustion chamber.
