FIELD: veterinary and virology. SUBSTANCE: this method prescribes preparing 0.1 to 0.2-percent solution of formalin (in terms of 40-percent formaldehyde), administering preparation into region of either femur or neck muscle in amount of about 4 to 6 ml per sow or 1 to 3 ml per piglet. Note that one shot of formalin solution must be administered into both sow and piglet on farrow day. In case single dose of preparation is to be administered into solely piglets, this must be done day after birth. If preparation is to be administered two times into sows only, this must be done 22 to 26 days and 16 to 20 days before farrow.
