FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: method for hydraulic dumping of grainy wastes into worked-out open pit includes installation in worked-out open pit 2 of vessel 1 with low-permeable bottom and sides 7 and 8 in its lower part. Pulp is discharged alternately in end sections along vessel to form above water beach 21 of sediments on one end section of vessel and in middle part along length and storage pond 19 on its other end section. In course of waste dumping periodically in vessel height drainage in form of drainage band and draining pipe is laid on the surface of above-water beach along sides 7 and 8. From band surface impervious coatings 24 are applied to sides 7 and 8 of self-hardening composition. Two water intakes are used alternately on equal in size halves of vessel. Water intakes are made in form of sinks 10 and 11 or in form of floating water inlets which are furnished of rearranged above-water guard ledges and connected with tail race. Hinge is located at longitudinal side 7. Draining pipes are connected with collecting pit installed as independent structure in case of use of floating water inlet or functionally combined with sinks 10 and 11 in case of their use.
