FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: unit of unyielding balloon support has torroidal balloon connected with section of base beam by means of endless chain traction member and enveloping roller. The latter is installed on section of base beam. Feed jacks on the face side are hinged with their cylinders to base beam, and with their rods, to chain traction member by means of ratchet-and-pawl mechanism. Latter has frame with ear and two independent pawls. Each pawl is hinged with its middle part to frame ear means of axle and interacts with its one end with chain links and the other end is secured to rod of feed jack by means of additional axle.
