FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: automatic transmission comprises input and output shafts, inertia clutch, differential, three mechanism of free running, carrier of the differential, and three pair of wheels. The first central wheel of the differential is mounted on the hollow driving shaft of the inertia clutch. The second central wheel 7 of the differential is mounted on hollow shaft 8. Shafts 5,8,1 are axially alined. The first pair of wheels 9,10 connects the input shaft with the output shaft. The second pair of wheels 12,13 connects shaft 8 with the output shaft. The third pair 15,16 connects hollow driven shaft 17 with the output shaft. The first and second pairs of the wheels are coupled with the output shaft through the three mechanisms of free running. The driving races of the mechanism are mounted on the output shaft. The driving race of the third free running mechanism is connected with the carrier of the differential. The driven race is connected with the driving shaft of the inertia clutch. The inertia clutch is a control link. Operation regime changes by automatic connecting and disconnecting corresponding free running mechanisms depending on the load on the output shaft and speed of rotation of the shaft.
