AUTOMATIC VARIATOR Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

Abstract RU 2047026 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: variator has input and output shafts, inertial clutch, differential, and three idle mechanisms. One of the mechanism is a breaking mechanism. The first idle mechanism is kinematically connected with the differential and the output shaft. The second idle mechanism connects the central wheel with the differential carrier. The third idle breaking mechanism connects the inertial clutch with differential. The inertial clutch and the first and second idle mechanisms smoothly change speed of rotation and torque transmitted depending on the load at the output shaft. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 cl, 4 dwg
