FIELD: geodesy. SUBSTANCE: method involves the steps of: measuring temperature, air pressure, partial pressure of water steams in two points the difference in level between which is to be determined, for each station subtracting partial pressure of water steams a value of which is a random function of time and measurement location from the measured total air pressure and calculating the difference in level from any known barometric formula where humidity in this case is equal to zero. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy due to measuring meteorologic parameters at the same height over station and simultaneously measuring free fall acceleration.
