ARBALEST Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical weapons. SUBSTANCE: arbalest has gun stock 1 and forestock 2, to which handle 9, mechanism 5 for retaining bow-string and arrow, arrow guide 7 are fastened, as well as trigger mechanism provided with trigger 10, sight 8, bow 3 and units 4, attached to the ends of the bow, tension mechanism made in form of lever 12, and bow-string 13, which is passed over blocks. The trigger is connected with trigger mechanism by means of rod. Tension mechanism is attached with one its end to lower part of forestock. Bow-string is made in form of a loop and connected with the lever. Bow-string has length being equal to doubled distance between blocks.
