FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: vibration meter has vibration transducer 1 and microphone 2 for converting vibration and noise levels into proportional electric signals, switches 3,5,7, a set of filters 8 and detector 9 controlled by control unit 13 for setting one of the possible operating modes such as spectral analysis, determining root-mean-square values for octaves, determining peak values for octaves, determining peak-factor for octaves, measuring noise, local or total vibration at working stations. Set 10 of filters, analogue-to-digital converter 11 and computing unit 12 realize computing functions of predetermined operating mode the results of which are displayed by indication unit 14. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and speed, widened capabilities due to estimating technical state of mechanical systems, their assemblies and members and estimating vibration and noise levels at working stations. 3 cl
