FIELD: facilities for locating objects under water. SUBSTANCE: system has buoy 2 mounted on movable object by means of holder with drive for opening it and reel 10 with flexible member 3 (rope, cable, etc.) wound on it; one end of flexible member 10 is secured to buoy 2 and other end is connected with underwater object; reel 10 is made integral with buoy 2; flexible member 3 has positive buoyancy. One end of reel 10 on side of outlet of end of flexible member 3 wound on it is provided with weight 14; centers of masses and centers of buoyancy are set apart along axis of buoy 2 to ensure its vertical orientation in floating. Weight 14 is connected to above-mentioned end of reel 10 by means of suspension. Reel 10 is provided with streamlined head portion 19 with fins made of plates 22 bevelled to axis of buoy 2 in the direction providing its rotation in floating, opposite to direction of coming of flexible member 3 off reel 10.
