FIELD: in medicine as histamine receptors in treating gastrointestinal disorders. SUBSTANCE: salts formed by ranitidine and a bismuth-carboxylic acid complex or a solvate of said salts. Reagent 1: ranitidine. Reagent 2: a bismuth-carboxylic acid complex, the acid being selected from tartaric or citric acid. Reaction conditions: the process is carried out in an aqueous solution at a temperature not higher than 100 C and the resulting salt is isolated from the solution. The salt shows antisecretory activity typical of ranitidine in combination with a bactericidal activity to Campylobocter, Pylori and also has cytoprotecting activity. EFFECT: improved properties of the salt. 3 cl
