FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: developing gently slope coal bed is carried out by working from the center and over contour. Coal mining is by coupled inclined cleaning-out slopes. Step of basic roof rock caving in, and distance from wall slope surface to area of maximum support pressure are determined. Length of each cleaning-out slope is selected in such a may, that its projection magnitude onto axis of central working is P = le± 0,2le, where le is step value of basic roof rock caving in, and ends of cleaning-out slopes adjacent to the central working are displaced as to position of other ones with value of the displacement not exceeding area size from surface of cleaning-out surface to maximum support pressure in the formation. In so doing ends of cleaning-out slopes adjacent to the central working are directed to the slope or worked out space. EFFECT: cost-effective working. 2 cl, 2 dwg
