METHOD FOR SAVING SECTIONS OF DEVELOPMENT WORKINGS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method can be used for saving repeatedly operated sections of development workings in mining seams of minerals such as coal, salt, etc. According to method, in advance of work face of longwall in sides of development working undertaken is relieving of seam of mineral for example by creating crack in it. Pliability of mineral seam is increased to value not exceeding pliability of artificial structures erected behind longwall. Depth of relieving mineral seam from side of virgin mass is taken as larger than depth of zone of intensive crushing of seam in marginal part, depth of relieving mineral seam at side of worked-out area is taken as equal to width of artificial structure. Due to aforesaid arrangement, reduced is deformation of roof and risk of its caving connected with appearance close to working of cracks of operating origin. This allows for reducing expenses for maintaining of development workings and repair-restoration operations. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 5 dwg
