FIELD: electrical equipment of automotive vehicles. SUBSTANCE: novelty is that small-size three-phase transformer is connected to stator windings of standard generator of automotive vehicle and series resistors are placed in generator field winding circuit which are commutated synchronously with turns of transformer primary winding by means of four-pole duty selector switch. Control over welding rate is provided by pilot incandescent lamp connected between ballast resistor of generator and storage battery. In process of welding storage battery is charged with current sufficient to supply field winding and electric circuits of vehicle internal combustion engine. EFFECT: optimum matching of generator resistance with characteristics of arc and electric tools. 2 cl, 2 dwg
