FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: sludge layer is loaded on layer of metal chips, left to reduce cutting fluid content, mixed in preset relation and resulting mixture is loaded into melting installation together with other charge components to produce steel or alloy. EFFECT: reduced cost of sludge preparation for remelting.
