FIELD: oil and gas producing industry. SUBSTANCE: overshot consists of body 1 with two longitudinal axial slots 2 and catching members 3 on inner surface of its lower part and pusher 4, telescopically connected with body 1. Pusher is made in form of spring- loaded rod 8 installed inside body 1 and having convex head 9 with cut on convex part, with convex part downward. Cut is made similar in shape with that on die 11. Axis of head 9 of pusher 4 is square to plane running through axial lines 13 of longitudinal slots 2 of body 1. When overshot covers die 11, cut 10 of oval head 9 of pusher enters between cut of die 11 and fixes it in overshot. This ensures reliable holding of fished die 11. Catching members 3 pass die 11 only to one side. EFFECT: higher reliability of holding die during its lifting in wellbore. 2 dwg
