FIELD: gas and oil producing industry. SUBSTANCE: cable before its cutting is attached to pipes, and before sealing wellhead cut part of cable is lowered on pipes below wellhead. For this purpose, device has coupling threaded to body which is installed in well- head flange for axial motion and has inner circular shoulder and cable catching unit which is located in body under cutting unit. Wellhead flange has longitudinal cutout for engaging it with cable. Cutting unit is made in form of circular knife which is located in inner circular shoulder of body and stop for knife installed on coupling end conjugated with body. Body has additional cutout for cable running from body end to stop for circular knife. EFFECT: reduced time for realization of method due to simplification of withdrawal of cable cut part. 2 cl, 4 dwg
