FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: rotor engine comprises hollow housing, rocking rotor with pistons, force and piston shafts, mechanism for converting motion and changing compression ratio, and spark plugs. The rocking rotor is mounted symmetrically with respect to the housing hollow. Ports of intake and outlet passages are made in the side wall of the space. The force shaft is perpendicular to the piston one and coupled with it trough the mechanism for converting motion which includes pin and journal with a bearing. The mechanism for changing compression ratio includes clutch of axial displacement of the plunger having inner and outer part interconnected kinematically. The inner part of the clutch is rigidly secured to the plunger and outer one is rigidly secured to a unit for preventing against rotation and screw mechanism. The mechanism is constructed as a flange having lateral groove and collar arranged over an arc of the circumference which is coaxial to the piston shaft and casing of the journal bearing conjugated with its inner surface. The journal is mounted on pin of the pistons. The casing of the bearing of the journal shank is kinematically coupled with the plunger and inner part of the clutch for axial movement by the connecting rod. The unit for preventing rotation of outer part of the clutch is constructed as rods parallel to the axis of force shaft and having screw cutting mated with the opening surface of the outer part of the clutch and mounted inside the casing for permitting synchronous rotation by kinematically interconnected gears of the screw mechanism. The ports of inlet and outlet passages of valve gearing are positioned in the symmetry plane of the space which is perpendicular to the rocking plane of the piston on its different sides.
