FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to internal combustion engines without crankshaft instead of which drums with sinusoidal grooves are installed. Invention can be used as power plant on trucks, crawler tractors, truck-tractors and other ground vehicles. Proposed engine consists of base, pistons arranged in common cylinder and provided with common combustion chamber, and drums installed on bearings and bushings. Pistons are connected by piston pins with piston bars on journals of which sphere rolls are installed. Rolls move along two-side sinusoidal paths made over perimeter of circumference inside drums. Drums are interconnected by shaft and gears and they rotate in plane square to cylinder axis. Drums can be displaced relative to cylinder axis by means of threaded sleeve to move pistons to or from combustion chamber, thus changing compression ratio. Slot ports are made over perimeter of cylinder at both sides of combustion chamber. Said ports are overlapped by rings with axles in process of operation. Sphere rolls to drive rings from independent links are installed on axles. Spark plug and nozzle are installed simultaneously in engine cylinder. Two or more engines can be combined into one and separated from each other, when necessary. They can operate on different grades of gasoline and on diesel fuel.
