FIELD: railway transport; electrical equipment of switching diesel locomotives. SUBSTANCE: forced redistribution of current between parallel circuits of traction motors is provided by means of resistor which is cut in at definite value of current of traction generator and is shunted by contactor with definite time delay relative to moment when generator current is reduced to preset value. Capacitance of capacitors setting duration of time delay at change of voltage of locomotive traction generator and mass of train is regulated additionally. Device has reversing change-over switch, controller, resistor, contactor, current relay, inertial supply unit with capacitor gang divided into sections, voltage relays and auxiliary switches. Novelty in design of device is use of voltage relays and auxiliary switches which make it possible to set required relationship between changing duration of transient process and controlled duration of time delay formed by inertial supply unit for optimum control of traction force owing to regulation of capacitance of capacitors.
