FIELD: battery-powered vehicles with DC motors. SUBSTANCE: device has series-wound DC traction motor with armature winding 2, two-section storage battery 1 with power contact 5.1 of first contactor 5 connected between battery sections. Each section of battery is shunted by diodes 3. First current sensor 13 is placed in battery discharging circuit. Output of sensor is connected to input of amplifier 12. Current relay coil 11 is connected at output of amplifier. Device has also pulse current regulator 14 with current sensor 15 and output transistor 14.1, voltage relay with coil 16 and switch-on delay unit 17, second contactor 6 and controller with contacts 7,8,9 and 10. EFFECT: reduced discharge current and power losses in electric motor and its control circuits. 2 dwg
