FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: method of controlling power unit 1 includes changing rate of steam flow to turbine 3 from steam boiler 2 by changing flowing capacity of control member 4 of the turbine. The flowing capacity of the control member is changed depending on the control signal which is generated as the sum of two signals. The first signal is the sum of the signal of a given value of flowing capacity of control unit 4 and deflection of speed of rotation of turbine 3 from a given value. The second signal is a detected sum of inverted first signal and inverted signal of deflection from a given value of pressure downstream of boiler 2. When the unit operates at a regime of sliding steam pressure, the given value of steam pressure downstream of boiler 2 is changed by adding a restricted signal which is generated as a sum of inverted signal and the signal of deflection from given steam pressure and inverted integral signal of the given value of flowing capacity of the control member and deflection from the given value of speed of rotation of turbine 3. The signal of deflection from given value of speed of rotation of the turbine is generated when the deflection exceeds a given value. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 3 cl, 1 dwg
