FIELD: thermal engineering; controlling power units operating at rated and fixed main-steam pressures. SUBSTANCE: with unit 1 operating at variable steam pressure, carrying capacity of control element 4 of turbine 3 is varied in response to control signal which is, essentially, sum of two signals, first of them being equal to sum of signals of preset carrying capacity of control element 4 and speed deviation of turbine 3 from desired value; second signal equals third detected signal which is sum of inverted first signal plus signal proportional to steam pressure deviation from desired value, plus signal equal to integrated sum of limited proportional third signal and signal responding to steam pressure deviation from desired value; third signal is used as control signal for bypass valve or for setting variations in operating conditions of boiler 2. Under starting conditions, desired value of steam pressure downstream of boiler is set depending on starting time and actual steam pressure. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 1 dwg
