FIELD: testing equipment. SUBSTANCE: article is communicated with compensation vessel, the latter is coupled to standard vessel. Article, compensation and standard vessels are filled with gas up to working pressure. Difference of gas pressure between article and compensation vessel is measured in arbitrary equal time intervals. Temperature of gas in article and compensation vessel is measured. When specified value of change of temperature difference of gas in article and compensation vessel is achieved article and compensation vessel are isolated, compensation and standard vessel are isolated too. Value of time interval between moment of registration of two equal values of change of temperature difference of gas between article and compensation vessel and change of pressure difference of gas between article and compensation vessel corresponding to this time interval are measured. Pressure of gas in standard vessel is stabilized by its submersion into thawing ice. Dependence of pressure difference of gas between compensation and standard vessels on temperature of gas in compensation vessel is determined and gas pressure in compensation vessel is changed till it achieves pressure difference of gas between compensation and standard vessels corresponding to value of difference of change of temperature of gas in article and in compensation vessel at moment when change of temperature difference of gas between article and compensation vessel achieves specified value.
