FIELD: nuclear technology. SUBSTANCE: active zone of fast reactor with liquid metal heat transfer agent is first loaded with fuel composed of alloy of uranium with plutonium using it in the form of melt and producing secondary nuclear fuel from it. Then part of secondary fuel unloaded from fast reactor in the amount not less than necessary to keep reactivity margin without chemical processing is loaded into active zone of thermal reactor. Simultaneously active zone of fast reactor is loaded with necessary amount of raw material. In compliance with method liquid nuclear fuel after active of fast reactor is granulated and separated from liquid metal heat transfer agent and is again fed into active zone.
