FEEDER OF MELTING FURNACE FOR MANUFACTURING SILICATE MELT Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: silicate melt production. SUBSTANCE: feeder of a melting furnace has a duct, made of a sheet refractory metal with an outer heat insulation, a bottom manufacturing container with a die feeder, being electrically heated, a crown with burners. The manufacturing container is provided by a gas-flame tuyere, mounted on a movable shutter, having a port for discharging furnace gases, and it is arranged at an end side of the feeder. The above mentioned duct is in the form of tray with side boards, its entry portion is extruded to the melting furnace, forming an accumulating container. Under the duct of the feeder a member for induction heating is arranged. That member has a heavy shaped base of an electrically conductive material with an opening in its lower part; in that opening coaxially with it a copper winding, an inductor and a magnetically conductive core are arranged. The manufacturing container is provided by a needle-type shutter, made of refractory material, in the form of a cone and a rod, mounted in guides of the crown. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 6 cl, 5 dwg
