FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and device for production of continuous mineral fiber. Method of producing continuous mineral fiber comprises feeding crushed rock into cold crucible of high-frequency induction furnace, melting rock with simultaneous homogenisation and degassing of molten rock, melt is dispensed from the crucible with simultaneous cooling and fed into a feeder, from which it is further fed to a spinneret, forming a fiber, applying a lubricating agent and winding the fiber on a bobbin. Rock formation is melted in induction furnace in frequency range of 0.05–2.0 MHz. Rock is melted in oxidative medium at temperature from 1,900 to 2,200 °C to melt viscosity of less than 1 Pa⋅s with permanent electrodynamic mixing of melt. Extraction of melt from crucible into feeder with its simultaneous cooling is performed from surface of melt bath in crucible in form of continuous jet freely falling to surface of melt bath in feeder, smoothly lowering temperature of jet on its section in process of falling by 250–500 °C is higher than crystallization temperature of rock melt by its dynamic mixing. Also, a device for implementing the given method is proposed.

EFFECT: technical result is the expansion of technological capabilities.
