FIELD: food industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves mixing the beverage to be treated with an adsorbent in a treatment chamber, introducing the mixture obtained tangentially into the same adsorbent-containing beverage, separating the treated beverage from the mixture by circulating it to the treatment chamber at a velocity sufficient for holding the adsorbent in a fluidized condition and the clarifying the treated product. A portion of the adsorbent-containing mixture is withdrawn and repeatedly mixed with a portion of untreated beverage under vacuum. The mixture so obtained is circulated into a treatment chamber so as to produce a zone for settling the treated beverage at the upper part of the treatment chamber. The treated beverage is clarified by settling , degassing, and filtering. Apparatus has receptacle for an untreated beverage and treatment chamber for mixing the beverage with an adsorbent, the treatment chamber being provided with feed tube, discharge tube, and circulation collector. The apparatus also accommodates receiver for the finished product, settling tank, and vacuum-mixer. The latter communicates with the circulation collector and receiver via a system of tuber, each tube being tangentially joined to the vacuum-mixer. The treatment chamber is in communication with the settling tank through a pump. Filtering members are positioned at the upper and the lower parts of the treatment chamber under and above the circulation collector. EFFECT: improved quality of purification. 3 cl, 2 dwg
