FIELD: tricot knitting engineering. SUBSTANCE: device for mechanized laying out the thread has a pillar and a compensator which is adapted to feed the thread from the table. A mobile handle is positioned for moving along the guides carried by the carriage parallel to the needle case. The handle is capable of assuming two extreme positions. A slide block and a thread guide with a thread lock are mounted rigidly to the base of the handle. Before beginning an operative movement the handle is brought to the rest located at the end of the guide. As this takes place the thread guide occupies a position ahead of the carriage wedge. This position is maintained until laying the immediate row is completed after which the operator shifts the handle to the other extreme position. EFFECT: simpler construction, easier to handle. 2 dwg
