FIELD: draining of emergency inundated tunnels. SUBSTANCE: water collectors are made and water level sensors are installed at level of emergency inundation. Water is collected in water collectors and driven away out of tunnel. Water collectors are made under tunnels in places of maximum water amount beds. During water level sensors placement sensors are connected with automatic electrical drives of valves on output holes of water collectors walls. As water comes into water collectors, valves are opened and water self-running removal is exercised to tunnel casing outside space, that is preliminary drained. Apparatus to drain tunnels has water collectors with output holes and water level sensors, that are mounted inside water collectors at emergency water level. Water collectors are provided with automatic valves, mounted on output holes. Sensors of water level are made as chemical sources of current with electrodes, that are activated during their plunging into water. Automatic valves are made spring-loaded with electrical drives, that are connected with electrodes by wires. EFFECT: method and apparatus are used in emergency inundated tunnels draining. 2 cl, 2 dwg
