FIELD: vacuum freeze drying. SUBSTANCE: drier has vertical cylindrical housing 1 with upper cover 2 and lower cover 3 in which spraying device 4 (having one or several injectors), desublimator 5 and steam-permeable shield 10 are mounted coaxially. Desublimator 5 is made in form of coil; section of this coil located in zone of steam-and-gas mixture discharge branch pipe 13 is formed by tightly pressed turns and its height exceeds diameter of branch pipe; shield 10 is provided with vertical slots with bent-aside baffles which close gaps of slots in radial direction. Desublimator 5 and shield 10 are mounted in housing 1 in such a position that clearances between inner surface of housing and outer surface of coil are equal to those between outer surface of shield and inner surface of coil and ratio of these clearances to diameter of coil pipe is equal to 1.5-3.5.
