FIELD: purification of waste water containing petroleum products and solid suspensions by separation in density excluding clogging of separating circular slit; device may be used in purification works. SUBSTANCE: mounted on drive shaft 4 is disk 5 which carries disk 6 on flexible support 20; lesser bases on non-rigid taper partitions 10 and 11 are secured to disks 5 and 6 forming circular slit 13 which is brought in communication with waste water supply branch pipe 3 through chamber 7 provided with partitions 8 and ports 9. During rotation of partitions 10 and 11, waste water is separated by density in circular slit 13. Water is found in outer layer and petroleum products are found in inner layer and are brought into cohesion with the material of partition 11. When escaping from under edge 15, water whose force of cohesion with layer of petroleum products is lesser than that of petroleum products with material of partition 11 runs off and is discharged from housing 1 via branch pipe 17 and layer of petroleum products moves down to edge 14. When mass of petroleum products has reached the magnitude at which force of inertia exceeds cohesive forces, petroleum products run off and are discharged from edge 14 via branch pipe 18. Running-off of petroleum products is facilitated by deformation of edge 14 and partition 11 by air flow at contact with projections 16. Mounting disk 6 on flexible support 20 excludes clogging of circular slit with solid suspensions which are passed when partition 10 is shifted relative to partition 11 by back pressure of flows in chamber 7.
