FIELD: passive safety devices. SUBSTANCE: gas generator 2 has disk engaging through panel, forming protective cushion 1, with cover 4 of container secured on rod 8 of piston of gas cylinder-forechamber. Rod 8 is flexibly fixed, for instance, by spring ring 10 installed in recess of cylinder and it can be extended from branch pipe when gases act on cylinder piston 7. Cover 4 is secured on container by means of locks 5 over perimeter and is connected with container by means of soft flexible member at one of adjoining sides. Quick response is provided owing to forechamber holes 14 made in cylinder space and overlapped by rod. EFFECT: prevention of serious traumatic injuries in case of road accident. 3 dwg
