FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves fertilizer loading in a dump truck or trailer, transportation to the site of application, reloading into a fertilizer distributing machine, and distribution of fertilizer over the field surface. The fertilizer is reloaded from the truck into the distributing machine at the field edge, and the values of the field speed and effective width of the application outfit for a desired rate of application are calculated from an equation presented in the invention description.
