FIELD: chemical technology of metal separation. SUBSTANCE: iridium and ruthenium were extracted from parent solution containing iridium, ruthenium and rhodium with 0.1-0.2 mole/l solution of quaternary-ammonium base in organic solvent with addition of 1-2.5 vol.% fatty acid. Iridium is reextracted successively from organic phase with 0.5-1 mole/l sodium nitrate solution, and ruthenium - with 400 mole/l nitric acid solution, or by other known methods. Method is used for affinity production for separation of metals indicated above. EFFECT: improved method of separation. 2 tbl
