FIELD: inorganic chemistry, synthesis of volatile complexes of tris-β-diketonates of rare platinum metals. SUBSTANCE: hexafluoro complex of platinum metal having the highest oxidation degree is brought into contact with excess of beta-diketone or with its salt, the process is carried out by heating. Reaction takes place in the presence of reducing agent in the medium of 0.1 N perchloric acid or 0.2 hydrofluoric acid. Then reaction mixture is alkalized to pH 1-7 in respect with kind of metal. Water, or 0.1 N solution of HClO4, or 0.2 N solution of HF or aliphatic alcohols of C1-C5 series or hydrazine hydrate are used as reducing agent. EFFECT: increased yield of salts. 4 cl
