FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: welded rotor has disks 1 with bridges 2, outer parts 3 and inner parts 4 extending beyond bridges. Disks are connected by weld seams 5 over bridges. Outer part 3 of the disk is asymmetric in longitudinal section relative to inner part 4. Axis 6 of symmetry of outer part 3 is shifted relative to axis 7 of symmetry of inner part 4 towards weld seam 5 in whose root 8 tensile stresses are to be eliminated and during rotation of rotor, compressive stresses of preset magnitude arise. During rotation of rotor, side 20 is shifted radially through larger amount as compared with side 19 due to centrifugal forces, as a result, outer part 3 turns bending bridges 2 giving rise to compressive axial stresses on inner surface 21 in the vicinity of root 8 of weld seam 5. Compressive stresses exclude cracking caused by hidden flaw in zone of weld seam 5, thus enhancing reliability and durability of rotor. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 4 cl, 5 dwg
