FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: AC-to-stepper-regulation-AC voltage changer has first matching transformer 1 with regulation winding 2, second matching transformer 3 whose primary winding is set up of two circuits 4,5 and secondary winding is connected to using equipment 6, each of like-polarity leads of circuits 4,5 being connected via respective switching system 7,8 to one of leads of regulation winding of transformer 3. Switching systems 7,8 are provided with output contacts 9,10 and input contacts made for switching with intermediate leads 11-14. When output contacts 9,10 of switching systems 7,8 are connected to one of leads of first matching transformer 1, load current flows through both parallel-connected circuits 4,5 in one direction. When switching system is changed over from one intermediate lead to other and voltage changer runs continuously, with switching systems connected to different leads of first matching transformer 1, desired resistance is set up to limit circulating current.
