FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method of making a tubular filtering member of synthetic fiber and polyamide fibrids envisages the conducting of the molding process of the initial water suspension by means of two-sided compression in the gap between the coaxially disposed perforated cylinders. Drying of the obtained members is exercised at 60-70. Wound and unwound fibers having the length of 3-4 mm are used as synthetic fibers. The suspension has the relationship of synthetic fibers 70-30% and the binder 30-70% . The molding device for making the tubular member has a vibrator, a mandrel with the height limiter and two perforated pistons. One of them is fastened on a hollow pipe and is connected with a drive for its displacement from below upwards inside three coaxially mounted perforated cylinders. The other one is connected with the middle coaxial cylinder switched on an additional drive for the piston displacement from above downwards. An inner perforated cylinder is mounted on the first piston. An outer cylinder is connected with the drive for its rotation.
