FIELD: mineral concentration. SUBSTANCE: feed is treated with silicon-containing reagent in an alkali medium. Readily floatable minerals are floated by a collecting agent. Chamber product is thickened and the rare-earth metals are subjected to flotation. The silicon-containing reagent is polysilicic-acid sol.
