FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: drive of centrifugal separator has a housing, an electric motor, a rotor vertical shaft and a driven gear wheel mounted on it, and a planetary transmission mechanism. The pole of the latter is set on the electric motor shaft and the satellites are mounted on the pole so that they form an engagement with the driven gear wheel. The drive is equipped with a central floating wheel with threaded inner surface and frictional disks. The floating wheel is disposed in the drive housing concentrically to the driven gear wheel.
