FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves the use of laminarin or product of its enzymatic transformation - translam as a cryoprotecting agent for mammalian cells. In the presence of these β-1,3;1,6-glucanes from 60 to 90% of mammalian cells are viable after their defrosting. Except for high cryoprotective properties important advantage of laminarin and translam is their inability to penetrate into cells and absence of toxicity. EFFECT: enhanced quality of cryoprotecting agent. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
