FIELD: wood-processing industry. SUBSTANCE: wood waste products are ground until the fraction not larger than 3/- is obtained. The waste paper is dispersed in the hydropulper, is diluted with water till the concentration of 1-3% and is fed to a reservoir with a stirrer. Ground wood waste products or other vegetable ones and additions are also fed to the reservoir to give the plates special features, for example hydrophobic. The expenditure of the cellulose-containing fibriform mass used as a binder during the production of the plate material makes up 17 - 100% of the mass of vegetable by-products. The obtained mixture is mixed up and fed to the overlapping box of the discharge machine. The formed carpet with the humidity of not more than 75% is subjected to thermal treatment. During the production of solid and semisolid plates the thermal treatment is exercised by hot pressing in the press at the unit pressure 1.5 - 2 MPa and at the temperature of the press plates equal to 170-190 C. When soft plates are produced, the thermal treatment of the carpets is exercised by their drying at the temperature of 150-165 C. The duration of the thermal treatment depends on the humidity of the carpet and the plate thickness. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 10 cl, 1 tbl
