FIELD: manufacture of wood particle boards based on wood particles characterized by low liberation of harmful and toxic substances. SUBSTANCE: method may be used in manufacture of wood particle and fiber board materials in furniture and construction industries. External layers of three-layer board are made of nonhydrolyzed wood particles, and middle layer is made of wood particles treated with steam under pressure. In manufacture of boards, carbamido-formaldehyde resin is additionally applied only to nonhydrolyzed wood particles. Internal layer of board is formed of wood mass produced by treatment of wood with steam at temperature of 170-230 C and containing free sugars in amount of no less than 5% and content of hydrolyzed wood particles in mat is from 20 to 80 wt.%. EFFECT: low-cost manufacture of board material of low toxicity, reduced amount of binding substances by 20-80% and higher mechanical and physical properties. 2 tbl
