FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: cobalt sulfate solution is mixed with phosphoric acid solution at pH 4.8-5.0 and added to the ammonia solution up to pH 5.0-5.5. Suspension is filtered, dried and precipitate is milled, calcined. Product is washed, dried repeatedly and ground. Properties: pigment has dark-violet color, staining capability is 110%, covering power is 70-78 g/m2, dispersity is 30 mcm. EFFECT: improved method of pigment preparing. 1 tbl
