FIELD: optical instruments. SUBSTANCE: device has laser, lens, first sample, which is made from material to be investigated and has polished faces, and calorimeter. All these units are positioned along single optical axis. In addition second sample is introduced. detectors which are connected to automatic recorder are attached to side surface of samples. Heat-insulating coating is applied to side surface of samples. Surface of second sample is frosted and coating with high reflection index is applied to it. Laser beams are directed to sample by means of light distributor and mirror. Samples are exposed to laser beams in direction that is perpendicular to their faces. Power of laser beam that run through first sample is measured by calorimeter. Thermal junction is used for measuring relative difference in temperature of samples, this difference is recorded by automatic recorder. Dispersion factor is calculated according to equation given in invention specification. Three-dimensional absorption coefficient is measured when only one sample is illuminated while another one is darkened by means of shutter. EFFECT: increased functional capabilities. 3 dwg, 1 tbl
